Happy B-Day Google!
The search engine that changed the internet, Google, is celebrating a birthday today. 4 years ago they launched, and now, 1,461 days later, they have come a long, long way. They have catalog search, news search, newsgroup search, and even image search. They are the envy of every search engine and wannabe from Alta Vista to Yahoo, Teoma to Lycos. they have changed the way we search, they have become a verb, the center of a game, and for many sites the top referrer, including my own blog. They have had Scott Adams doing Dilbert themed logo’s, and have changed with the times, even minute by minute, like on September 11th they provided what the news sites couldn’t, reliability. Happy Birthday Google. Here’s to dozens more!
