Two new Mozilla releases available

Yesterday the Mozilla Foundation released Mozilla Firebird 0.6.1 and Mozilla Thunderbird 0.1. The former is a standalone browser, which has seen many stability improvements and bug fixes in this latest release, along with a few minor extra features, such as extra toolbar buttons.

The latter is the first release of Mozilla’s standalone mail client, designed to compete with Microsoft’s Outlook Express client. Although it is only a 0.1 release it is built on Mozilla Mail and therefore inherits the features of a semi-mature client, and includes features such as an improved address bok interface, bayesian spam filtering, removal of ‘risky’ HTML tags in spam messages and a more customisable toolbar. As with the other Mozilla programs, a growing selection of themes are available.
