This morning, Electronic Arts begun shipping The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, PC and Game Boy Advance platforms. Published under the EA GAMES brand and based on New Line Cinema and Peter Jackson’s upcoming film adaptation of the classic novel of the same name, The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King once again sets players in Middle-Earth. Playing as Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Frodo or Sam, players venture to deliver the ring to the Mount Doom. The game has 15 missions, and an all-new multiplayer co-operative mode, with the PlayStation 2 version being online. The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King was developed by EA Redwood Shores Studio, and is rated “T” for teen by the ESRB.
