Game Consoles Headed for Fall

In-Stat reports that video game consoles are about to take a dive in shipment numbers. They’re expecting the number sold to drop 2 million units under what was sold in 2002. They also report a revenue drop of $2 billion. But how is that possible if the average price isn’t $1,000 per console? What am I missing here?
