World of Warcraft Announces Stat Tracking
What sells, what’s being made, what’s being looted and more.
Over at the Official site for World of Warcraft, Blizzard announced a new feature for players of their MMO World of Warcraft. Thanks to Blizzard, there’s a new statistics tracking system put in place that tracks activity on servers over the last seven days. What sorts of things will players be able to follow?
- Bestsellers — the most auctioned items
- Crafter’s Corner — the most created items
- Fierce Creatures — the most dangerous enemies in WoW (i.e., the creatures that are killing the most players on a given day)
- Gold Rush — the most gathered items
- Big Booty — the most looted items (drops from creatures in the game)
- Heroes for Hire — the most completed quest on a given day
What does all of this mean? Well, in addition to meaning that Blizzard is watching their game, the economy and their mobs very closely (they’ve releaesd the most dangerous enemy numbers before) it means that players will be able to watch World of Warcraft continue to evolve when the Burning Crusade expansion ships early next year. It’s likely that new level 61 creatures will become some of the “big killers” in Azeroth, instead of what’s killing players now. via 1UP
