Microsoft Wins Xbox 360 Patent Battle With Alcatel

According to a Bloomberg report, Microsoft has triumphed in a court battle against technology company Alcatel-Lucent that sought $419 million in damages, alleging Microsoft’s Xbox 360 DVD player infringed on its 1993 patent for "coding video frames." According to the report, Microsoft also was seeking $11.5 million in counterclaims that Alcatel violated four Microsoft patents.…
