Premium and Free Fable 2 DLC Set for December 22
While word erroneously spread around the Internet recently that the premium Knothole Island DLC would be available for Fable 2 this week, a Lionhead spokesperson has explained to Eurogamer that it’s actually set for release on December 22.
The spokesperson said that the original date of December 12 was a “mistake,” and confirmed that it’s now set for Monday, the 22nd. As previously revealed, the Knothole Island DLC will (obviously) add a new area called Knothole Island for players to explore, which will provide “new quests, wondrous items, and bizarre characters.” It’ll cost 800 Microsoft Points, or $10.
Along with the premium DLC, Lionhead will also release a patch that’ll allow Fable 2 players without Knothole Island to play with those who do download it (although those without the premium content, naturally, will not have that content available to them in co-op). And as was also previously revealed, anyone who downloads the DLC or the free patch will get a few new in-game items, including “Knight’s Boots, Assassin’s Gloves, a special Weight Loss Potion, collectible silver book, and more.”
