Gears of War 2 Surpasses Four Million Sold

People just seem to like big guns and space marines. Need proof? According to Epic, Gears of War 2 has sold four million copies.

Gears of War 2 global product manager Guy Welch told GameDaily that the shooter has sold more than four million units since its release back in November. According to Welch, it more than exceeds the pace of the original.

"The original Gears of War was the fastest-selling next-generation game of 2006, selling more than 2 million units worldwide that Holiday, and now well over 5 million copies sold to date," he said. "With Gears of War 2, the game has sold over 4 million units in the first two months, doubling the pace of the original."
