Yahoo readying free POP3 access?
Now that Windows Live Mail has joined the rest of the crew, most of major free email services available offer free POP3 access along with their webmail access. Yahoo! Mail, however, has been resistant to this change, continuing to insist that users pay a yearly fee to obtain access to their POP3 and forwarding options. This may, finally, be changing. Users that log into the Yahoo! Mail web interface, proceed to the mail options, and attempt to view the options for POP3 will be presented with the following page: While this is purely speculative, it could signal that Yahoo! is preparing to grant all of their Mail users access to POP3 and forwarding for free.
