D&D, Love Triangle
A nighttime break-in and hammer attack may have arisen from resentment over a D&D session and a love triangle, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. Zachery Frank King was charged Monday with two counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary related to the attack.
King is charged with attacking Daniel Shokrian, the Dungeon Master in the D&D game the day of the attack, and Logan Bryson, who also played in the game and who was dating a girl after both he and King said they wouldn’t date her, according to a detective who testified at the arraignment. King also told the detective that he didn’t like what Shokrian was doing with King’s character during the game.
King pleaded not guilty and was returned to jail.
