Brutally beaten and held captive, the ferocious first “X-Man” is forcibly experimented on by Nathaniel Essex and his Marauders.  And the only man who can save him is…Creed?!

But amid the horrors visited upon him, James Howlett may find the one thing he thought lost forever – his humanity. At some point the Wolverine must choose: is he man or beast? What shocking revelations lie in the untold story of Wolverine’s past?

‘Origin’ Sequel and the Return of Nightcrawler

Marvel is launching two new titles featuring X-Men characters in November:  Wolverine: Origin II and Amazing X-Men.
Marvel’s Origin is getting a sequel written by Kieron Gillen (Phonogram) and drawn by Adam Kubert (Ultimate X-Men).  Wolverine: Origin II #1 will chronicle the early adventures of James Howlett, the clawed curmudgeon more commonly known as Logan.

Set a few years after Origin, the end of which found Logan trapped between his animal and human natures, Origin II further illuminates Wolverine’s transformation from feral beast to heroic X-Man.  Plus, the story promises to reveal the biggest secret behind Wolverine’s greatest enemy.

Amazing X-Men #1, also shipping in November, features the return of Nightcrawler, who gave his life to protect his fellow mutants during X-Men:  Second Coming.  Storm, Beast, and Ice Man, led by Wolverine, must embark on a dangerous journey into the unknown to rescue their teleporting teammate.
Taking place in the aftermath of X-Men:  Battle of the Atom (see "‘X-Men: Battle of the Atom’"), Amazing X-Men #1 is written by Jason Aaron (Wolverine) and drawn by Ed McGuinness (Superman/Batman).

Today, the comic book event of the year comes to a head in Avengers VS. X-Men #9, from the blockbuster creative team of Jason Aaron and Adam Kubert! As the remaining hosts of the Phoenix Force continue to round up Avengers, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes stage an all-or-nothing rescue on one of the X-Men’s prisons! But with their backs against a wall with no way out, it all comes down to the decision of one Avenger – Spider-Man!

THE HEROIC AGE IS HERE! Spider-Man and Wolverine! Everyone’s favorite wise-cracking web-spinner and ferocious furball come together in their first major series ever! The super-star creative team of Jason Aaron (WOLVERINE: WEAPON X, PUNISHERMAX) and Adam Kubert (ULT. FANTASTIC FOUR, X-MEN) send Spidey and Wolvie to the edges of the Marvel Universe as they face such awful beings as The Czar, Big Murder and Doom the Living Planet! But who is the major Marvel villain pulling the strings? And can Spidey & Wolvie refrain from killing one another long enough to find out?
